The grade nine class at H.J. Cody put on a turkey dinner, Dec. 12 as a thank you to the community and those who have been an inspiration to them.
Sobeys donated 17 turkeys for the event and four hams. No Frills provided all the cutlery, plates, napkins and condiments. The class of over 160 brought in potluck items and many of their parents helped to cook the turkeys for the event.
Students invited people in the community they feel have gone above and beyond, giving their guests hand-written cards thanking them for their contribution.
