Construction on the roundabout for the Highway 20 and Memorial Trail intersection has begun.

Phase one officially began on April 22, with hydro vacuum work being done on underground crossings.

For phase one, the intersection will become a right-in, right-out only, and Memorial Trail may require full closure for up to two days at certain times in May.

During phase one, no left turns will be allowed:

- from the Highway 20 northbound lane onto westbound Memorial Trail

- from the Highway 20 southbound lane onto eastbound Township Road 384

- from Memorial Trail eastbound lane onto northbound Highway 20

- from Township Road 384 westbound lane onto southbound Highway 20

Detours are currently tentatively scheduled to come into place on May 6.

Phase two is tentatively expected to start in mid-June.

During phase two, Township Road 384 will be closed at Highway 20.

Memorial Trail is also expected to possibly require a full closure for up to two days at certain times.

During phase two, no left turns will be allowed:

- from the Highway 20 northbound lane onto westbound Memorial Trail

- from the Highway 20 southbound lane onto eastbound Township Road 384

- from Memorial Trail eastbound lane onto northbound Highway 20

Road users are advised to plan alternate routes while construction is ongoing.

“Thanks in advance for your patience and kindness with the construction workers and other drivers navigating the changes,” town staff said.
