RCMP are advising the public to be aware of youths going door to door in Sylvan Lake asking for bottles as part of a fundraising drive on behalf of HJ Cody School. Representatives of the school advise that they are not conducting any bottle or fundraising drives at this time. A letter has been issued by the school and is being distributed to children to take home as part of an awareness campaign.
The RCMP is asking the public to be aware of this scam and to report these youths.
