WAFLER, Glen John

May 14, 1961 - May 27, 2017

It is with tremendous sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Glen Wafler at the age of 56.

Glen is survived by his mother Marie Richardson-Wafler, daughters Amanda (Ray) and Tara, Grandson Malachi, brothers Robert (Lori), Bruce and Michael and sisters Kris (Michael), Norma Jean (Dennis), and Jo-Ann (Jody) and his beloved girlfriend Dodie.

Glen is predeceased by his Father George Glen Wafler.

Glen's greatest loves were spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, playing poker and his passion of riding his Harley.

He had a zest for a life that was contagious and had a beautiful soul who always went out of his way to connect with everyone he came in contact with.

He was an incredibly hard working man, starting in the shake mills in the lower mainland working his way up to the oil rigs and building his craft in masonry in Sylvan Lake, Alberta where he most recently resided. He lived by the motto "work hard, play hard".

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A special thank you to Constable Ken Onofrychuk, Doug Wafler, Austin Cottier, Provincial EMS, Valleyview Fire, the Wafler clan and for the bystanders who assisted in Glens accident.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 17th at 11am at the Sylvan Lake Legion followed by a Glen Wafler Memorial Poker Run starting at the Hazzard County Pub.
