Badminton players representing schools from all across Central Alberta competed at a tournament at École H. J. Cody School last Tuesday night.
The top two teams from each of the junior, intermediate and senior categories earned a spot at zones in Lacombe Monday (Apr. 28).
Advancing from H. J. Cody were Bryce Marshall, who won gold in U-19 singles, and a silver-winning junior mixed team consisting of Erika Marshall and Braden Bystrom.
The top teams at zones will move on to provincials in Lethbridge next month.
