Stettler Wildcats will be heading to Calgary next weekend to play Bow Valley for the provincial championship after they overcame Sexsmith Sabres earlier today, Nov. 19 in Grand Prairie, 27-14.

Playing a snow-riddled game today, Wildcats came out on top to fight off a formidable Sexsmith Sabres team.

"This was a real team victory, everyone that played in today's game played phenomenally well and contributed to this win," said a happy Head Coach Norbert Baharally, who has been very proud of how the Wildcats have performed in the past couple of games. "We had a few of our starters go down and did not finish the game but their back ups filled well in and we did not miss a beat."

Baharally expressed gratitude and appreciation for all those who sponsored the team this weekend.

"I want to thank all of our sponsors who contributed so generously, taking care of our transportation, accommodation and meals on the way home," Baharally added. "One more win next weekend and we will have accomplished what we set out to do at the start of this season, in winning a Provincial Tier IV Championship."

Stettler Wildcats will play next Saturday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. in Calgary.
