January and February were fun months for the 4-H Shadow Riders! We volunteered at Bethany Centre in Sylvan Lake helping with baking and bingo with the residents. We really like doing this!
The vet clinic and farrier clinic were a success and kids learned lots. The senior drill team did a clinic at Lakedell for their club and we've had a couple practices. A drill clinic was put on by some senior members for our level 1-3 kids. This will help them organize the junior drill team.
Level 1-3 also had a camp at Benalto with all kinds of fun activities and a sleepover.
On Feb. 15 it was 4-H Rebels night and lots of 4-H'ers attended.
Public speaking took place Feb. 9 at Benalto and all the speakers did a great job.
A dismounted roping clinic took place Feb. 22 in Benalto. They are always fun.
We are looking forward to spring and getting riding!
