Ponoka RCMP seek the public’s help locating an urn and stolen cremated remains as well as some personal belongings. The item on the left, what appears to be an antique blush box was taken, but its matching cameo/broach (the image on the right) wasn’t. It appears the animal ran out and then headed north on Highway 2A at about 4:30 p.m. It then tried to jump through a snow bank and slipped near the Ponoka Husky gas station. So close yet so far: Quick-thinking good samaritans helped corral a yearling that escaped out of the VJV Auction Mart in Ponoka Wednesday afternoon. It appears the animal ran out and then headed north on Highway 2A at about 4:30 p.m. It then tried to jump through a snow bank and slipped near the Ponoka Husky gas station.
