Sylvan Lake Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for this year’s Sylvan Lake Business Awards.

Sylvan Lake Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for this year’s Sylvan Lake Business Awards.

The Chamber shared on their website, “After a record number of nominations and submissions, the Sylvan Lake Chamber is pleased to announce the 2021 award finalists. Winners will be announced on Friday, November 19th at an event to be held at Landmark Cinemas in Sylvan Lake.”

The finalists for Large Business of the Year are Bukwildz, Fonda’s Plumbing & Heating, Sobeys, Sylvan Medical Centre, and Wolf Creek Building Supplies.

Finalists for Small Business of the Year award, sponsored by Servus Credit Union, include Clearview Glass, Knot Just A Box, Sylvan Lake AutoPro, Sylvan Lake Physical Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic, The Baby Footprint, and The Wood Shed Axe Throwing.

Home-Based Business of the Year awards finalists are A to Z Blinds, Geek Girl Apparel and Promotion, and Petal and Blum Creative.

Finalists for the New Business of the Year award, sponsored by Canadian Tire, are Crucial Diesel, Firestone Cannabis - Sylvan Lake, Flying Goose Media, Sylvan Auto Parts, Tech Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd., and Trybe Fitness Bar.

Business Resiliency award finalists are Hilltop Wedding Centre, Jupiter Medical Aesthetics and Wellness, Terrafirma Resources, The Wood Shed Axe Throwing, and Trybe Fitness Bar.

Philanthropy award finalists are Jupiter Medical Aesthetics and Wellness, Servus Credit Union, Sobeys, Sun of a Beach, and Tech Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd.

Finalists for the Marketing Excellence award, sponsored by Sylvan Lake News, are Snake Lake Brewing Company, Tech Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd., The Wood Shed Axe Throwing, and Wolf Creek Building Supplies.

Customer Service Excellence award finalists, sponsored by Sobeys, are Crucial Diesel, Knot Just A Box, Sylvan Lake AutoPro, Tech Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd., and The Baby Footprint.

Visitor Friendly Award finalists are Bukwildz, DQ Grill and Chill, Knot Just A Box, Main Street Eatery, and Redneck Wear and Tear.

Business Woman of the Year award finalists are Angela Ziefflie (A to Z Blinds), Mari Van Schalkwyk (Jupiter Medical Aesthetics and Wellness), Rebecca Bouw (Petal and Blum Creative), Nicole Saffron (Terrafirma Resources), and Ruby Cole-Ellis (The Maby Studio).

Young Entrepreneur award finalists are Chris Jervis (Crucial Diesel), Connor and Kory Goossens (Flying Goose Media), Tanis Bergen (Hilltop Wedding Centre), Ruby Cole-Ellis (The Maby Studio), and Melissa Lowrey (Trybe Fitness Bar).

Finalists for the Employee of the Year award, sponsored by Clearview Glass Service, are Anne Muir (Best Western Chateau Suites), Jen Biliant (Sylvan Lake Community Partners), Devon Crooks (Tech Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd.), Lacey Derricott(Trybe Fitness Bar), and Christian Levac(The Wood Shed Axe Throwing).
