The event was originally scheduled for the Sunday of the 1913 Days weekend but was postponed due to inclement weather. While the weather was slightly better, showers still plagued Sunday’s event. Julian Price estimated they used about half the food. They had planned for 900 people.
The event raised $360.50 through donations for the Heroes youth program that is taught to Grade 7 and 8 students at Fox Run and Grade 8 students at Mother Teresa, said Julian Price.
Jackson Krause and Wendy Jo Sakofsky won bikes provided by an anonymous donor through a door prize draw and Oral B professional care packages were won by Danielle Belange and Kayla Young.
