Playing the game ‘Are You Sleeping Mr. Bear’, youngsters scurried in delight after they snuck up to the sleeping bear and woke her from a sound sleep.
The bear then chased them, capturing a couple to join in the next game, during the Teddy Bear Picnic at Sylvan Lake Municipal Library Saturday afternoon.
The library hosted 29 children and 19 adults at the event.
Also included was a rousing story, “We’re going on a bear hunt” and beary crafts such as making a bear bag and Teddy Bear picnic basket.
They enjoyed a snack and juice before participating in energetic games.
