Summer’s heating rays spurred people to think about sprucing up gardens, prompting lots of people to visit the Mother’s Day Flower Sale and Tea at St. Mary’s & St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, May 11.
The event started at 9 a.m., something that Garnet Rambaut attributed to the early burst of sales with about half the plants and hanging baskets sold by noon. There were a few still left Sunday but the selection was greatly diminished.
Cinnamon buns and strawberry shortcake tantalized the taste buds for those who stopped for coffee, tea or juice.
