Tim Hortons annual Smile cookie campaign got off to a good start Monday with $1,421 raised for Sylvan Lake & Area Urgent Care Committee’s initiatives.
Committee members Klaas Van Veller and Susan Samson were joined Tuesday morning by cookie maker extraordinaire Juni Lyn Taguinod and Tim Hortons owner John Paul Doucette to hand out information on progress towards an urgent care centre.
All money raised through the cookie campaign is being donated to the initiative.
