École Steffie Woima Elementary School teacher Amy Bouwman was selected as the only person from Western Canada to participate as one of 50 volunteers who departed on a week-long Lifetouch Memory Mission to build a school in the Dominican Republic Tuesday.
Last Friday, students at the school paid a toonie for a piece of duct tape to stick her to the wall. They raised $1,062.95.
