Crime awareness

Benalto and Area Rural Crime Watch Society (BARCWS) and its partners in the Sylvan Lake RCMP

Benalto and Area Rural Crime Watch Society (BARCWS) and its partners in the Sylvan Lake RCMP and Red Deer County Protective Services during Assembly Day at Benalto School on Feb. 26 recognized six Benalto School students whose drawings were selected for the Alberta Provincial Rural Crime Watch Association (APRCWA) 2015 Poster Contest.

Three students — Kohen Mykyte, Kira Nelson and Taylor Stauffer — won provincial status and were awarded certificates and APRCWA cheques for their submitted drawings.

A big thank you bouquet to Benalto School staff and all the students who participated in and support this crime awareness program. You are the eyes and ears for our community and law enforcement!
