Decoration Day ceremony

Reviewing were MLA Kerry Towle, Councillor Graham Parsons and District Commander Jim Stewart.

As the reviewing party stood in front of the memorial at Lakeview Cemetery, the Royal Canadian Legion, Sylvan Lake Branch No. 212 colour party marched forward during Sunday’s Decoration Day ceremonies.

Reviewing were MLA Kerry Towle, Councillor Graham Parsons and District Commander Jim Stewart.

The colour party included Joe Brink, Mike Marchesi, Larry Neis, Sergeant-At-Arms Bob Hamelin, and hidden, Gerri Stewart, Jim Craig and Ladies’ Auxiliary Sergeant-At-Arms Joyce Pillar.

Following a service, led by Padre Jin Woo Kim, those gathered formed groups and planted Canadian flags on the graves of veterans.
