Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School students Rene Simon, Madi Cunningham and Hannah Niemand tried some of the Stone Soup made by parents following the harvest of vegetables planted by Kindergarten students last spring at Hidden Valley Garden.
The same students, now in Grade 1, went back earlier this month to dig the carrots, potatoes and onions and pick green beans.
The Hills donated the garden plot and took care of it over the summer.
Keeping to their goal of being friendly to the environment, students brought their own bowls and spoons for the event.
