Join us at Landmark Cinemas for the last movie of the Sylvan Lake Film Society’s 2013 winter season.
Hyde Park on Hudson, starring Bill Murray and Laura Linney, details the historic pre-war weekend in 1939 when England’s King George VI and Queen Consort Elizabeth came calling on U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt at his upstate New York manor house, at the same time as the president started to become especially close to his distant cousin, Margaret “Daisy” Suckley.
Linney is marvelous as Daisy, both outsider and confidant, while Murray channels his inimitable persona into a remarkable evocation of this larger-than-life figure, according to Alliance Films.
The film society will return in September with a new season and great new movies. We look forward to seeing you all back in the fall!
