A large crowd of people gathered for the first fire in the new fire pit at Centennial Park, last Tuesday evening.
Hot chocolate and Timbits were served at the event hosted by the Town of Sylvan Lake, Sylvan Lake Centennial Celebrations Task Force and First Sylvan Lake Cubs and Scouts.
Winners of Centennial items provided by the town and Sylvan Lake Chamber of Commerce were Tracy Villeneuve (hoodie with logo), John Walsh (Centennial bear), Mindy Olson and Sylvia Bengston (both won chamber of commerce Centennial t-shirts).
