Firefighter Jamie Slaney demonstrated the Hazard House explaining to youngsters and their parents how to live with the hazards that are common within homes.

Approximately 300 people attended Sylvan Lake Fire Department’s Fire Prevention and Life Safety Day Saturday at the fire hall.

Other demonstrations included vehicle extrication and the Safe House, an educational tool to assist children in practising the escape methods required in a home.
