The Sylvan Family Health Centre has recently partnered with Canadian Blood Services and pledged its commitment to donating blood to individuals in need.
Its staff are now challenging other businesses in Sylvan Lake to do the same, and to play their part in helping the 52 per cent of Canadians or their family members who have need blood at some point in their lives.
“There are people that benefit all the way around,” said Jamie Johanson, a registered nurse at the Sylvan Family Health Centre. “It’s making a commitment and just trying to create awareness, and we’re hoping some of our patients and patients’ families will participate as well.”
