Rotary Club of Sylvan Lake acting president Mark Custance presented a $1,200 cheque for the Heroes program to instructor Julian Price at the Nov. 23 Rotary meeting. The 12-session program is presented to students in both École Fox Run School and École Mother Teresa Catholic School.

Recognizing that young people deal with big issues and make choices the program helps youth recognize and build on their strengths and equips them to make the right decisions, according to the Impact Society’s website (http://impactsociety.com/programs).
