Poppy Chairperson Sharon Graham presented certificates and cheques to Emma Laqua, who placed second in the senior poster-black and white category, and Samantha Hann, who placed second in the senior poem category, at the area level in Literary and Poster contests sponsored by The Royal Canadian Legion.

They each won first at the branch level before moving up to the next level.
