Strawberry and rhubarb pie attracts highest bid

A delicious strawberry and rhubarb pie baked by grandma, Ada Graham, for Booster Juice’s entry into Sylvan Lake & Area Community Partners’ Association charity pie auction, June 15, attracted the highest price, $450.

As a result, Booster Juice owner Wendy Graham was able to choose the charity of her choice to receive half the proceeds from the auction. She chose the Compassion Fund, which is operated by Community Partners’, as recipient of $542.64. Donna Ellerby accepted the cheque from Wendy Graham. The other half of the proceeds went to the Family Education Support program operated by the organization.

The winning pie was donated to the Legion after the auction.
