Cara, Cole, Chase and Reeze Belcher were all smiles during a neighbourhood Canada Day party on Hallgren Drive in Sylvan Lake. The party, now in its sixth year, is organized annually by local residents Miriam Hick, Diana Couture and Joan Bender.
Plenty of neighbours and community members attended to enjoy this year’s entertainment by ‘Elvis’ (Rick Johnsen) and ‘Loretta Lynn’ (Debbie Burrill). As well, guests enjoyed food together — organizers paid for the main dish, and guests were asked to each bring a salad or dessert.
Organizers noted that the event has been successful each year it’s been held, and has grown steadily since its inception.
Because Canada Day fell on a Tuesday this year, the party was held Saturday, July 5.
