Nominations sought for this year’s Leaders of Tomorrow Awards

Nominations for Sylvan Lake’s most outstanding young citizens are now being sought

Nominations for Sylvan Lake’s most outstanding young citizens are now being sought for this year’s Sylvan Lake Leaders of Tomorrow Awards in May.

Community members — including coaches, youth workers, teachers, pastors and school administrators — are asked to identify youths between the age of six and 18 years old who contribute to the community in a positive manner through their leadership and volunteer work.

Recipients will be recognized during a ceremony at the Community Centre May 1.

Nomination forms are available online at www.sylvanlake.ca/fcss/youth/youth-leaders.

Organizers are also seeking volunteers to sit on the awards selection committee. Those interested in doing so are asked to contact Krista Carlson at 403-887-1137.

The program recognizes young leaders throughout the entire community, and organizers are hoping to secure the involvement of selection committee volunteers from a wide variety of community organizations and educational institutions.
