An organizer is needed to stage the Terry Fox Run in Sylvan Lake this year.
“It would be such a shame for the people of Sylvan Lake to miss out on an opportunity to keep Terry’s legacy alive as every community no matter how big or small can make a huge impact, just as Terry learned when a small town of 10,000 people raised over $10,000,” said Rhonda Risebrough, provincial director for the Terry Fox Foundation Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
“Keep the legacy and passion alive and become part of the annual Terry Fox Run to ensure that Terry’s dream continues in your community,” said Risebrough in a news release. “Uphold the motivation in finding a cure for cancer and continue the Terry Fox Run in Sylvan Lake!”
“The Terry Fox Foundation funds research into all kinds of cancer, believing as Terry did, that we need to conquer this disease once and for all,” she added.
