Pound It Studio showed C.P. Blakely students how to dance and brought awareness to the disease

C.P. Blakely School students learned about muscular dystrophy today while also learning some sweet hip hop moves from Pound It Studio in the school gym.

Students learned a few new moves from the hip hop dancers at Pound It Studio before moving into a circle to share their own personal style.

One student dropped into the splits repeatedly during the dance circle, assuring several classmates that it didn’t hurt.

At the end of the dance circle, students put their hands together in the middle of the circle and lifted them up, shouting “hip hop for MD!”

Many of the students shared their own unique style of movement in the dance circle.
