Patrick Murphy of Macomb, Illinois, (in the foreground) practised his skill in slack line walking at Sylvan Lake Provincial Park on a line strung about eight to ten feet off the ground between two trees. In the background, Martin Lafontaine of Quebec, who now lives in Calgary, was testing a line closer to the ground.
Murphy said he’s on holidays for a couple of months and has done high lining in places like the Grand Canyon. He also enjoys mountain biking. Saturday’s warm weather was ideal for all kinds of activities in the park and along the lakeshore.
