Undercurrent Brewing held a Stache Bash on Nov. 30 to raise money for the men’s health and the Movember Foundation.

Fundraising was done with their “to shave or not to shave, that is the question” event.

Six volunteers grew out moustaches and customers voted whether it should be shaved off or not by putting money in a “to shave” or a “not to shave” jar. The jar with the most money in it decided the fate of each volunteer’s facial hair.

If the result went in favour of “to shave” Sylvan Lake Barber was on standby to make it happen.

On Nov. 30 at 8:30 p.m. the donations were counted behind closed doors and three of the six men emerged with a shaven upper lip, while the remaining three continued to rock their moustache.

The event raised $1,600 for men’s health and the Movember foundation.
