Variety of topics in Lighthouse speech competition

Junior high students of Lighthouse Christian Academy participated in their annual speech competition, Mar. 25.

The Grade 6-9 classes were judged by Mayor Sean McIntyre, Neil Williamson, and Lisa Greentree. The timing was done by their teacher Katrina Swart.

The topics were extremely varied from the Bermuda Triangle and Bronies, to cellphone use in classrooms and racism.

Winners were:

Junior Division (Gr. 6-7) - First Eden Kreutz (Gr. 6); second Jenna Taylor (Gr. 6); and third, Jordan Smith (Gr. 6).

Senior Division (Gr. 8-9) - First Skylar Airey (Gr. 8); second Noah Wilson (Gr. 8); and third Hannah Taylor (Gr. 8).
