Sylvan Lake Girl Guides and Boy Scouts are teaming up for a food drive Oct. 17, with hopes to make it to every residence in town, said Brownie leader Judy Scanland. Brownies are a branch of Girl Guides for girls aged seven to eight.
Scanland is looking to community youth groups and leaders for help with the drive. The drive has been a “huge success” the past five years, said Scanland, but more volunteers are needed to continue the pattern.
For those wishing to make a donation, Scanland said all foods are needed and appreciated. Cash donations are also accepted.
