Miss Gervais’ Grade 3 class along with Mr. Locke’s Grade 6 class at École Mother Teresa Catholic School participated in breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest online book discussion in a 24-hour period on May 6 and 7 during Canadian Mental Health Awareness week. The idea was to have the children read the book “I CAN Believe in Myself”, then leave a comment on the author’s blog about what they CAN do.
Miriam Laundry (author) is working with the Canadian Mental Health Association and The Society for Safe and Caring Schools and Communities to promote positive thinking for children. Over 100,000 participants read her book and over 30,000 people posted a blog about it.
