The Jazz at the Lake preview event could be called nothing more than a success.
The swing-jazz band The Polyjesters brought the roof of the Sylvan Lake Legion down around a nearly full house.
The four piece band had audience members on their feet from the first song right until the last.
The event, which was one of four events leading up to the festival, was presented by Jazz at the Lake and The Paint Shop and previews the fun to be had during the festival running Aug 17-19 in various venues across town.
The Polyesters are Alberta brothers Jason and Sheldon Valleau, who shift he made into several variations to include other players and instruments such as fiddle, percussion and guitar.
At the May 5 performance in Sylvan Lake, the brothers were joined by Aaron Young on guitar and Jon May on drums.
The next event will be the Project Discovery Contest on June 23. The contest will be held in partnership with House of Music at the Alliance Community Church.
