The annual Charity Checkstop event in support of the Sylvan Lake Christmas Bureau and the Sylvan Lake Community Food Bank is returning.
The event will be taking place on Dec. 7 and involves the Sylvan Lake Fire Department, Sylvan Lake Municipal Enforcement, the Sylvan Lake RCMP, the Victim Services Unit, and the Sylvan Lake Legion.
The Checkstop will be located on 47 Ave between the McDonalds and Shopper's Drug Mart and will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"This holiday season, we invite you to help us spread joy and support local families in need. If you're out and about on Dec. 7 please consider donating new unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items, or a cash donation," the Sylvan Lake Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
