The Big Jig Ice Fishing Derby and Polar Dip events originally set to happen the weekend of Jan. 17 to Jan. 19 have been cancelled.
The reason for the cancellation is ice safety concerns.
"The safety of participants, spectators, and staff is the Town’s top priority when hosting these or any other events," town staff said.
All registered participants of the event have been notified via email, and refunds will be issued.
