Lemonade Day will be returning to Sylvan Lake on June 14.

Lemonade Day in Sylvan Lake is calling on young entrepreneurs to sign up to run a lemonade stand.

The event, which takes place during the summer, gives young kids in Sylvan Lake the perfect opportunity to taste the sweet success that comes with launching their own small business.

Lemonade Day provides a fun, hands-on experience where kids learn how to create a business plan, budget, set goals, serve customers, and make money.

This year, organizers are excited to expand the program to include children from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

"Lemonade Day is a shining example of our community's commitment to nurturing the talents and ambitions of our young people," Mayor Megan Hanson said.

"As we open registration for this year's event, I encourage all families and businesses to get involved. Together, we can inspire our youth to dream big, work hard, and make a positive impact on our community. Let's make Lemonade Day 2025 a memorable and transformative experience for everyone involved."

Organizers are hopeful of seeing a record turnout for both young entrepreneurs and supportive businesses this year.

"We are excited to kick off registration for Lemonade Day 2025 and see the incredible potential in our young participants," Lemonade Day event organizer and FCSS Youth Service Supervisor Krista Carlson.

"This program is all about empowering kids with practical skills and confidence, and we're thrilled to have the support of our community and local businesses. We can't wait to witness the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that this year's Lemonade Day will undoubtedly bring."

Registration for the event will be going on from March 5 to March 31 and is open for entrepreneurs ages five to 14 to participate in.

Businesses interested in mentoring Lemonade Day participants are also welcome to sign up to become a 'Sweet Spot' to help set the young entrepreneurs up for success.

For this event, community involvement is crucial, one of the event organizers and the Town of Sylvan Lake Economic Development Officer Amanda Mercer said.

"We invite businesses to partner with us and make a difference in the lives of young entrepreneurs. By becoming a host location “Sweet Spot” sponsor, you play a crucial role in fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and community engagement."

There is no cost for businesses to participate, and interested businesses can register on the Lemonade Day website, lemonadeday.org/sylvan-lake.

Lemonade Day will be taking place on June 14.
