The Sylvan Lake Lion's Club will be doing a pancake breakfast fundraiser to help the Jasper Lion's Club.
The idea behind the breakfast is to just help the Jasper Lion's Club rebuild the community, Lion's Club member Klaas Vanveller said.
"Our pancake breakfasts in the past have been successful, we just hope this one is extra successful. We also settled on doing the breakfast on Oct. 12 because it is the long weekend."
This is a good chance for the community to get involved, he added.
"By coming, people are not just helping us but they are helping the residents of Jasper."
Net proceeds raised during the fundraiser will be matched by the Lion's Club up to $2,000, Vanveller said.
"So if we make say $1,500 we would match it with $1,500."
The breakfast will cost $5 for children under the age of 12 and for people aged 13 and up the cost is $10.
"Just come to the Hall and we will try to fit you in and feed you," Vanveller said.
The pancake breakfast will be at Lion's Hall located at 5119 50A Ave. on Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
