The Sylvan Lake Municipal Library's Ladies' Night event is returning on Feb. 7.
The event provides ladies with the opportunity to treat themselves to a night out of self-care, head programmer Corrie Brown said.
"We find that it is nice to pair the event with Valentine's Day as an event to treat yourself."
For the most part, each year, the event usually remains consistent, Brown added.
"We have a few of our staple vendors coming back this year including Petal and Blum, Pure Romance, Lorianne Raquelle Photography, Trailer Trash Bath Co., and more."
The event provides a great opportunity for businesses to get involved.
The only requirement for attending vendors is to submit something for the silent auction.
"There is no cost for vendors to set up a table for the event," Brown said.
The silent auction will take place throughout the night and items can be paid for and picked up the night of or at a later date.
All forms of payment will also be accepted to pay for the silent auction items.
Vendors are also welcome to sign up to participate in the event until Feb. 3 or Feb. 4.
"That way, we have time to finalize the event layout," Brown said.
For the event confirmed vendors so far include:
- Trailer Trash Bath Co.
- Kindred Spirit Candles
- Created with Love by Alison
- Petal and Blum
- Lorianne Raquelle Photography
- Tarot Card Readings, with Bath and Beauty products: Jessica Skaley
- Berry Bean Chocolates
- Blissful Yarn Creations
- Massage Therapy - Janine Roeland
- Under the Covers (Romance Book Shop)
- Denim Redesigns by Matilda
A change for this year's event is that while usually only wine or water is offered this year there will also be a non-alcoholic sparkling wine people can have.
"We do know a lot of the participants who come don't necessarily drink or don't like to drink a lot, so having a tastier non-alcoholic option is something we want to provide," Brown said.
The Ladies Night is usually a popular event for the library with an average of around 70 people attending.
Before the event, tickets are sold at the library for $5.25 with GST to ladies 18 and older.
"Beverages are purchased at the event, and tickets can be purchased at the door as well," Brown said.
Doors for the event will open at 7 p.m.
