Fire Chief Cliff Brausen and Deputy Fire Chief Steve Scanland arrived at a farm yard on Range Road 21 north of Highway 11A Monday afternoon to a barn blazing with dry grass and fence starting to catch.
Quick work by firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other nearby buildings.
