BREAKING NEWS: Sylvan Lake RCMP seek assistance to identify armed robbers

Sylvan Lake RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify two men who robbed a convenience store on Lakeshore Drive at gunpoint

The Sylvan Lake RCMP are asking for the public's assistance to locate suspects wanted in a Lakeshore Drive convenience store robbery.

Sylvan Lake RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify two men who robbed a convenience store on Lakeshore Drive at gunpoint on the morning of January 16, 2017.

The two men entered the convenience store at approximately 7:30 a.m. with long barreled firearms. The suspects demanded that the cash from the register be put into a black backpack and then departed in a dark coloured four door car. It is believed that there was a third suspect who was driving the car. No description is available for the suspect driver.

Although there were several employees in the store, no one was injured during this robbery.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1

Caucasian male of average height

Wearing a blue hoodie with black sleeves and hood / grey RDS brand sweat pants with cargo pockets and white high-top shoes

Carrying a sawed off shotgun with wood stock and sling

Suspect #2

Caucasian male of smaller than average height and stature

Wearing a beige jacket (possibly a work jacket) / long black tee-shirt / dark blue jeans / white baseball cap and black skateboard shoes with a white sole

Carrying a .22 calibre rifle
