Gathered on the steps of the town’s Municipal Government Building following a meeting inside last Friday were Cal Dallas, MLA Red Deer-South; Mary Anne Jablonski, MLA Red Deer-North; Frank Peck of Sylvan Community Housing Society; Laverne Asselstine of Sylvan Lake Foundation; Sylvan Lake Mayor Sean McIntyre; and Dale Aasen of Sylvan Lake Foundation.
In a private meeting, the group discussed a new provincial lending program for affordable housing societies, as well as the need for urgent care in Sylvan Lake. McIntyre described discussions on both topics as “encouraging”.
