While Environment Canada warned for wintery weather in central Alberta early this week, and individuals began their routine salting and snow shoving, some Lakers got out to relish the weather.

Throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday, several students at C. P. Blakely School were seen enjoying the outdoors and making snow structures.

A special weather statement was issued Sunday and was renewed Monday morning, for Sylvan Lake and area. The advisory is in effect for Red Deer, Lacombe, Blackfalds, Eckville, Ponoka, Maskwacis, Sylvan Lake, Clive, Alix, Stettler, Spruce View, and Bashaw among others.
