Large party, loud noise resulted in warning to property owner

A report of a male shooting a pellet gun at a recreational vehicle resulted in a patrol by RCMP on Fulmar Close in Sylvan Lake.

Monday, May 5th

7:11 p.m. – A report of a male shooting a pellet gun at a recreational vehicle resulted in a patrol by RCMP on Fulmar Close in Sylvan Lake. The youth was caught on video entering a residential property and shooting at a trailer. The 12-year-old male and the complainant were spoken to by RCMP and the situation was resolved. There was no damage to the trailer.

7:25 p.m. – A domestic situation at a residence on Lucky Place in Sylvan Lake resulted in police attendance but no charges. A 31-year-old male advised that he contacted police in an effort to de-escalate an argument with his 26-year-old spouse. The male was locked out of his residence when he attempted to leave in his vehicle. There was no physical altercation and the two went to separate locations for the evening without further incident.

9:33 p.m. – A noise complaint on Westwood Court in Sylvan Lake was reported to RCMP. The driver of a vehicle was observed revving the vehicle engine and racing up and down the street. Police attended and the driver was issued a warning. No further incidents were reported.

Wednesday, May 7th

10:05 a.m. – A complainant from Rosewood Rise in Sylvan Lake reported a break in to her vehicle which was parked outside her residence. No damage was reported to the vehicle however its contents were disturbed. The complainant advised that she was unsure of what was stolen, if anything.

12:13 p.m. – RCMP received a report of mischief to a vehicle parked outside a residence on Bowman Circle. The passenger side of a truck was keyed and the driver’s side lock punched out but no access was gained to the vehicle.

Thursday, May 8th

12:25 p.m. – A stunting incident is being investigated by RCMP. A young male driver was reported to police as burning doughnuts in a gravel parking lot not far from Eckville High School. The driver was then spotted heading towards the school. A plate was obtained and the owner will be facing a fine.

Friday, May 9th

11:10 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at a residence on 53rd Street in Sylvan Lake. A large party, with loud music, was creating a noise issue for neighbours in the area. RCMP attended and the property owner was warned. No further incidents were reported.
