NexSource Centre to offer child minding services

New service will be available in the fall

The NexSource Centre in Sylvan Lake will soon be offering “child minding services.”

The Town announced on July 19 the inclusion of the much-ask-for service at the NexSource.

Child minding services will be available beginning Sept. 5 for children ages three months to seven-years-old.

There are conditions, such as the service is only available to parents and guardians while using the amenities at the NexSource.

While parents must remain in the centre, they are also required to have a cell phone on, in case of emergencies.

Child minding services are available Monday to Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and 4-7:30 p.m.

The service will also be available on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The service costs $3 for 30 minutes. Pre-reservation is available with 24-hour notice. With pre-reservation the cost goes down slightly to $2.70 per 30 minutes.

For six month and one year pass holders at the NexSource Centre, unlimited child minding services are available at $40 a month.

The Town is currently looking to hire someone for this position. Anyone interested can find out more the town’s website
