Obstruction, assaulting officer charges following fight

The owner of a truck reported vandalism occurred while it was parked on Hillman Way in Sylvan Lake.

Friday, Mar. 22nd

6:22 a.m. – The owner of a truck reported vandalism occurred while it was parked on Hillman Way in Sylvan Lake. The truck’s windshield had been urinated on with cookies crushed and strewn over the mess. Garbage was also thrown into the back of the vehicle. The individual responsible is believed to be known to the complainant.

Saturday, Mar. 23rd

1:02 a.m. – Assault charges are pending as a result of an incident at a party on Pritchard Close in Sylvan Lake. A male advised he was assaulted by five other males at the residence and that the males proceeded to damage his vehicle. RCMP are currently investigating.

1:15 a.m. – A party was shut down by RCMP on Lyon Crescent in Sylvan Lake. Several underage youths were drinking and causing a disturbance on the street outside the residence. Parents of the youths were contacted and advised to retrieve their children. The owner of the residence was not home at the time.

9:54 p.m. – A 26-year-old female is facing charges as a result of an incident outside the Monkey Top Saloon in Bentley. A woman was reported to be kicking the windshield of her vehicle with her bare feet. The female was extremely intoxicated and was witnessed by a Gaming and Liquor official to have driven her vehicle and park it. The woman was taken into custody at the scene. She is facing a charge of impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.

Friday, Mar. 29th

3:37 a.m. – A fight outside Hazzard County Bar in Sylvan Lake resulted in several arrests and two males officially charged. RCMP arrived at the bar to witness a group of females involved in an altercation with one female assaulting another on the ground. A 20-year-old female was arrested at the scene. Following the arrest, a 22-year-old male confronted police and was told to leave the area. He refused and continued to interfere with officers at which time he was also arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer. While questioning another female, her 19-year-old boyfriend obstructed officers and began to assault a member. He was subdued and charged with obstructing a peace officer and assaulting a peace officer. Another male was also arrested and lodged in cells for public intoxication as he also tried to intervene in the investigation.
