Rimbey RCMP execute search warrant at local residence

On September 27, 2016 Rimbey RCMP followed up on information received regarding possible drug activity

On September 27, 2016 Rimbey RCMP followed up on information received regarding possible drug activity involving significant amounts of crystal methamphetamine.

The RCMP initiated an investigation as a result of this information and executed a search warrant at a local residence. While no charges were laid as a result of this search, RCMP seized significant amounts of drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking. Information was gathered in this investigation and that outcome itself is always beneficial to the RCMP.

“The RCMP in Rimbey are committed to keeping Rimbey a safe community and will always evaluate any information received” said Sergeant Kurtis Pillipow. “Reporting suspected criminal activity helps police target issues in the community and helps keep our citizens safe.”

Sergeant Pillipow took up his post as the Detachment Commander in Rimbey in August, 2016. He is interested in hearing any public tips about suspected criminal activity.

If you want to report a crime, please call the Rimbey RCMP at 403-843-2223. If you have information about a crime that’s been committed and you want to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), by internet at www.tipsubmit.com, or by SMS.
