Rimbey, Alberta – The RCMP are in possession of a large amount of cash which was located in the washroom of a local Rimbey business. It’s the Rimbey RCMP’s goal to return this cash to the person who left it behind.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2017 the RCMP opened an investigation after the found cash was turned in by an employee at the business. To date, no one has reported losing this amount of cash and efforts remain ongoing to find the owner.

The RCMP is requesting that anyone who lost cash at a business, and can identify the amount of cash, what business it was, and how the cash was being carried, should contact the Rimbey Detachment at 403-843-2224.

“Someone out there is missing this money and we have no reason to believe there’s anything suspicious about this incident” says Sergeant Kurtis Pillipow, Rimbey RCMP Detachment Commander. “We want to see this money get back to where it belongs and hope that putting this message out helps us do just that.”
