Andrew Riou was called to rest by his Heavenly Father on June 7th, 2012 at 11:11 p.m.
Andrew was born on December 28, 1929 to Casimir and Herminie Riou in Tisdale, Sask. He was the 4th of nine children.
Andrew lived at home, helping with the farming duties, as well as working construction in P.A., Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Flin Flon until he was 27 years old, at which time he married the love of his life, Julianne Bernhard. They resided in Kindersley, SK. from 1957 to 1977, and 2005 until his death, and in the Sylvan Lake area from 1977 to 1995 with Andrew working in the oilfield there.
He is survived by his wife, Julianne of 54 years and his four daughters, Irene (Dale) Lenzen of Benalto; Anne (Jeff Tymchak) of Kindersley, SK; Peg (Barry Baldwin) of Moose Jaw, SK; and Marti (Daryl) Hjelmeland of Sylvan Lake, as well as brothers, Frank and Michel, and sisters, Angie and Madeleine.
A Funeral Mass for Andrew will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church at 600 4th Ave W, Kindersley, SK. at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 14th, 2012.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Plan Canada or any other children's charity.
