Barry George Bystrom of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away in Red Deer at the age of 54. Barry was predeceased by his mother and father, Margaret and Axel Bystrom of the Centreville District. Barry is survived by his sister Jan (Phill) Oltman of Airdrie, his brother Gerald (Jill) Bystrom of Sylvan Lake, his friend Christine of Innisfail, his nephew James, and nieces Anika and Allison, 3 great nieces Adriana, Meredith and Parker and one great nephew, Remi. Barry grew up on the family farm in the Centreville District and received all his schooling in Sylvan Lake. Barry was a gentle soul who immensely enjoyed drawing, painting and photography. He had a great love of music and was a popular partner for "Name That Tune" because of his knowledge of bands. Barry was known for his kindness and patience with animals particularly dogs and cats. Barry had a strong faith and involvement in church activities (Frontline Fellowship) was important to him. A Memorial Service for Barry will be held at Frontline Worship Centre, 4904 50 Ave., Sylvan Lake, AB on Thursday May 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House.
